Hello there!

I’m Ashley, a writer, illustrator, and fiber artist from Washington state.

Two Petal Studio came about from a need for a more dedicated and deliberate place to share my art outside of social media. The name comes from a play on my name, as well as being a nod to the influence of nature on my work; a two petal is a type of ash tree, also known as a California ash.

I enjoy making pieces that celebrate connection, both meaningful and playful, to ourselves, each other, and the natural world around us. You’ll see hints of the Pacific Northwest, Montana, and New England in my work—all of which have been key landscapes in my life.

More about me: I prefer wooden knitting needles, my favorite colors are green and orange, and I believe any day is ten times better after a swim in the lake.

From my paintings to my blog posts and knit garments, I like to think of each piece as a postcard from the inner creative world, a way of saying thank you, I see you, I’m thinking of you.

Thanks for following along!

— Ashley :-)
