I’m Ashley, a writer, illustrator, and fiber artist from Washington state.

I created Two Petal Studio out of a need for a more dedicated and deliberate place to share my art outside of social media. The name is a play on my name and the two petal ash tree, also known as a California ash. Similarly, much of my work is inspired by nature. You can see hints of the Pacific Northwest, Montana, and New England in many of my pieces—all key landscapes of my life. As I grow and explore as an artist, those landscapes will expand with me.

My dream has always been to write and illustrate books for both children and adults. I enjoy making pieces that stimulate the imagination, build curiosity, and encourage people to be playful in their daily lives.

While I work towards my goal of being a full-time writer and illustrator, this website gives me a reason to share and connect with you all. Each blog post, painting, or hand-knit garment is a postcard from me to remind all of us to make room for play.
